ATP Action in Rotterdam, Dallas and Buenos Aires – Tennis Now
The second post-Australian Open week kicks off with three events starting on February 9. 500 events in Rotterdam and Dallas, plus the ATP 250 in Buenos Aires, which kicks off the South American swing.

Here’s what to look for:
Top-seeded De Minaur faces tough draw in Rotterdam
Carlos Alcaraz won’t be back to defend his title in Rotterdam, which means that there’s a good opportunity for someone else to shine at the first 500-level tournament in Europe this winter.
Alex de Minaur features as top seed, and he’ll face Arthur Fils in a tricky first-rounder. If the Aussie can survive, he may have to deal with wild card Stan Wawrinka in the second round. Daniil Medvedev, Ugo Humbert and Stefanos Tsitispas are also in his half of a stacked draw.
Felix Auger-Aliassime, indoor maven, is anchoring the bottom half.

Top-Seeded Fritz Will Face Stiff Competition in Dallas
Taylor Fritz will soldier on despite not having a perfect bill of health in 2026. The American hasn’t fully rehabbed the knee injury that has plagued him for the last six months, but he believes he can manage the injury while playing events on home soil.
Fritz will be put to the test early against the always pesky Marcos Giron in round one. Ben Shelton is the second seed, and his first-round clash, against Canada’s Gabriel Diallo, could be tricky as well.
Americans Tommy Paul (5), Learner Tien (6) and Frances Tiafoe (8) are also among the top eight seeds.
Defending champion Denis Shapovalov, who brilliantly took out three Top-10 players en route to the title last year, is also in the draw as the No.7 seed.
There’s also a Michael Zheng vs Sebastian Korda rematch in the top half of the draw. The Columbia standout made a stir in Melbourne when he took out Korda in five sets at the Australian Open.

Fonseca’s First Title Defense?
Joao Fonseca returns to Buenos Aires, where he defeated Francisco Cerundolo to become the youngest South American to win a title in the ATP Tour era last year. The 19-year-old is in the same half of the draw as top-seeded Cerundolo this year, and other notable clay-courters – Sebastian Baez, Luciano Darderi, Matteo Berrettini – will also be on hand to try to wrestle the crown away from the 34th-ranked Brazilian.
Fonseca, who lost his first-round match at the Australian Open to Eliot Spizzirri, is hoping to put concerns about his back injury to bed as he seeks his first win of the year.
