Christian Eriksen and Rasmus Hojlund say it takes time to adapt
With Newcastle set to provide another stern examination of where the Reds currently are, in terms of our performance levels, Eriksen remains convinced that the system will work as it should in the long term.
“I agree,” said the experienced midfield man. “It takes time to adapt to new roles and new positions on the pitch.
“Obviously, I think everybody knows that we have some very, very good footballers. It’s more about fitting them in the system that the manager wants you to be in.
“And then, from there, take advantage. Yeah, it takes time.”
Hojlund was also asked about Amorim’s role in ensuring the process is in place to ensure success with the overall masterplan.
“He [Ruben] is very passionate and he wants to improve everybody,” stressed the centre-forward.
“You can see that he has really got the heart for wanting to improve and be better. You can see that every day. He’s very passionate. He wants to bring this club back where it belongs, and I think that is his main quality, if you can say that. He just wants to be better and just be the best version of him being a manager.”
