Dehradun ITF | Sehaj Singh Pawar and Diya Ramesh emerge champions
Sehaj Singh Pawar and Diya Ramesh emerged champions in the ITF junior tennis tournament at the Shanti Academy in Dehradun on Saturday. Top seed Sehaj beat Shanker Heisnam 6-1, 6-4 in the boys’ final. Second seed Diya Ramesh beat Jaya Kapoor 6-4, 6-4 for the girls’ title. It was a double crown for Diya, as she had won the doubles title earlier with Sohini Mohanty.
The results (finals): Under-18 boys: Sehaj Singh Pawar bt Shanker Heisnam 6-1, 6-4. Under-18 girls: Diya Ramesh bt Jaya Kapoor 6-4, 6-4.
