Harrison, fresh off his maiden Grand Slam doubles title at the Australian Open, earned his first Davis Cup win in his debut appearance, while the ever reliable Krajicek improves his Davis Cup doubles record to 9-2, including an impressive undefeated 9-0 slate in live rubbers.

Emilio Nava logged a 6-2, 6-3, win over Matyas Fuele in the dead singles rubber to ensure all three U.S. Davis Cup debutants – Nava, Harrison and Fresno native Ethan Quinn – earned wins on the trip.

“Whenever you play Davis Cup for the first time, it’s an important moment,” said US Captain Bob Bryan. “It’s a moment that you’ll remember for the rest of your life.

“Representing your country but also coming together for a week, and joining together as brothers and competing together. I think these guys all have a fun time. I think they’ll leave here with fond memories of Davis Cup, but also a lot of new friends. I love the way the bench brought the energy. It couldn’t have
been a better week for us. We feel lucky to be alive and to be able to move on, especially against such a tough team.”

The U.S. next heads to the Qualifying Second Round in late September to take on Czechia – who defeated Sweden in their Qualifying tie – in Czechia, site and on a surface to be announced.
